At the beginning of the year, I put in several filler posts - cartoons, weird covers, etc. I also threw in some writing posts throughout the semester. The plan was to then slip in a post or two a week with the filler posts keeping the blog dynamic when I was swamped.
But I've been swamped the entire year. One of the reason is a new course I am developing for this second semester. It is a mythology class that covers Greek & Roman, Norse, Celtic, Egyptian, and Polynesian. I've been working my butt off to get this thing ready and now I am racing to stay ahead of the students. Something I have not had to do in quite a while. However, I am quite proud of my start and I invite you to check out the site so far (I'm a dding to it about everyday). http://www.lordalford.com/mythology/mythology.htm
The other reason being the larger classes for English IV than the past and some crazy notion I had to change things up a bit, thus adding more work on myself. I'm eager to discuss these things with you - movie based unit for Shakespeare, grading by type of lesson, and some new tech thing I've found. But time got away from me.
So I'm putting this blog on a hiatus. No more filler posts (well, one is left scheduled for later in the year). Once I am ready to fill this blog up with better quality posts, I'll be back. This time truly EXTREME and not just SORT OF OK.

Yes, this is an actual story about a little girl who told so many lies that the fire station didn't believe her and did not come to her rescue. A "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" updated. If I ever write about some horribly oppressed kid (like a Harry Potter type), this book is so going on her shelf.
